The University of Tasmania Scholarship for the academic year 2024-2025 is a fully funded opportunity specifically designed for international students pursuing master's and PhD programs. This scholarship offers an annual stipend of AUD $28,597 and a relocation allowance of up to AUD $2,000.
The University of Tasmania Scholarship offers the following benefits:
- Stipend: AUD $28,597 per annum (latest rate). This stipend is indexed annually on January 1st.
- Relocation allowance: The scholarship provides a relocation allowance of up to AUD $2,000 to assist with costs related to relocating to Tasmania for Higher Degree by Research studies.
- Other allowances: Award recipients may also receive minor awards, allowances, or supplementary income from part-time work within the University's guidelines, in addition to the Tasmania Graduate Research Scholarship.
Criteria to apply for University of Tasmania Fully Funded Scholarship 2024
- Language Requirement: English
- Eligible Countries: All countries worldwide
- Successful applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Completion of at least four years of tertiary education studies
- Attainment of at least an upper second class Honours degree or equivalent
- Enrollment in a full-time research Masters or Doctoral degree program in 2024
- Not receiving another equivalent award, scholarship, or salary exceeding seventy-five percent of the base RTP stipend rate
- Exclusion of unrelated income (e.g., employment income) or income not intended for general living costs during Higher Degree by Research
- Applicants who have previously completed a degree at the same level as their proposed candidature, or at a higher level, and/or held an Australian Government or University funded Postgraduate Research Award for more than six months are eligible to apply. However, priority will not be given to these applicants over those who have not met these criteria.
- Applicant must apply for the scholarship on or before JULY 1st, 2024.
